Quirk: Control Properties not showing in Gridview...

In the release version of Expression Web, and if you are working in Codeview, you can not directly explore the properties of controls in template fields of GridView, DetailsView, FormView and potentially other 'larger' control. We show you two workarounds. You CAN view their properties if you stay within the visual editor.

Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition is a free web development package with more robust programming features than Expression Web, but less visual design capability (in our opinion.) You can download a free version by Googling Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition msdn for the latest download link and version.
